Sydney Sixers Women at a glance
Sydney Sixers Women were established in 2015 as one of the eight foundation WBBL teams and are operated by Cricket New South Wales. They share the magenta club identity with the men's Sixers but have a separate squad, captain, coach and competition record.
The Sixers finished second in the WBBL|11 league phase with six wins, three losses, one no-result, 13 points and net run rate -0.313. Their season ended with an 11-run Challenger loss to Perth Scorchers, making the complete record 6–4–1 across 11 matches.
Ellyse Perry led the batting with 412 runs and Sophia Dunkley followed with 354. Captain Ashleigh Gardner took a competition-joint-best 19 wickets, added 143 runs and was named the club's WBBL player of the tournament.
The Sixers won back-to-back championships in WBBL|02 and WBBL|03 and have also been runners-up three times. Peter Clarke succeeds Matthew Mott as head coach for WBBL|12, while Gardner continues as captain after taking over from Perry in 2025.
