Guyana Amazon Warriors at a glance
Guyana Amazon Warriors is a men's Twenty20 franchise representing Guyana. It has competed in every Caribbean Premier League season since the tournament began in 2013, reached eight CPL finals and won its first CPL title at Providence in 2023.
The Warriors enter CPL 2026 after three successive CPL finals: champions in 2023 and runners-up in 2024 and 2025. Imran Tahir, the captain of the 2023 title side and one of five overseas names announced for 2026, leads a roster that retains Shai Hope, Shimron Hetmyer, Romario Shepherd and Shamar Joseph.
GAW also represents the CPL in the separate Global Super League. It won that tournament in 2025 and retained the title on 1 August 2026 by defending 85 against San Francisco Unicorns. Those GSL results are acknowledged here but are not mixed into the CPL 2026 score and leader cards.
