The Gallants name arrived for 2026 after the same city slot had competed as Galle Gladiators, Galle Titans and Galle Marvels; ownership under the new identity should not be projected backward onto those earlier teams.
They finished second in the 2026 league table with five wins, three losses, 10 points and a +0.604 net run rate. After losing Qualifier 1 to Jaffna Kings, Galle beat Colombo Kaps in Qualifier 2 and then chased 124 against Jaffna in the final to win by five wickets.
